From Father David:
Stewardship is much more than simply pledges, and reflects an attitude about how we live our lives. Do we own or are we entrusted? Is it ours to use as we want, or is it in our trust for ourselves and others, including those who will come after? Those are questions that encompass all of life.
We ask you to imagine our church building, made of stones. Each stone is unique, of different size, shape, color. The masons who built this church somehow brought all those stones together to create one, and each stone takes its place in supporting the whole, working with the others. That is a great example of stewardship. Called in God’s love to be one, to care for and support each other, and the body as a whole. We ask you to take your part in caring for and supporting this family, as well as the mission we are entrusted with. Be stewards, live as stewards, becoming living stones!
–Please return your pledge forms to the church office or in the offering plate as soon as possible.
