Vestry

The next Vestry meeting will be Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m.  This will be the second “spirit building” meeting.

Notes from the May 8 meeting:

 –Parish weekend scheduled for September 15 and 16.  More information to come soon!  Reserve the dates now!
–Kristin and Chris have had their baby.  Dale Burgess will be doing the communications from the office and Kristin, will return to do the financial work.
–The financial review was completed and reviewed by the vestry, will be sent to the diocese.
–In the summer months, we will have Sunday worship at 9 a.m., starting Memorial Day weekend.

Notes from the January 10, 2012 meeting:
The vestry on January 10th heard a report from Fr David that the state of the congregation is in good health.  Financially, bricks and mortar, attendance and participation, all seem to be in good places.  This is a unique opportunity for us to explore our spiritual foundation, and build upon it, as a congregation and as members.  This would be in keeping with our long range goal of shaping our future by looking at how we will live in to the story of salvation.
As a response to this call, the vestry decided to set aside every third meeting for spiritual development.  On that meeting date, all regular business will be set aside for the purpose of exploring together spiritual issues.  It is hoped that in doing so, both individually and collectively, we might grow in Christ’s love.  The first such meeting will be in March, during Lent.  Each member will be asked to come with a reflection to offer the rest of the group.
